"Q-Docs" are a core value
repository that stimulates ideas. I've had a vague concept |

We have been talking quite a bit about integration. What exactly does that mean you many ask? Webster defines integration as: Main Entry: in·te·gra·tion Integrate is further defined as: Main Entry: in·te·grate An example of true "Q-Integration" is the "Q-Doc" system as supported by the "Q-Server". See Jay's quote above. The "Q-System of Scouting" applies this same thought to Scouting as a whole. So true "Q-Integration" is simply nothing much more than that, the combining of people, computer systems and programing into a cohesive whole. Learning to recognize opportunity and engage the system is what this Doctoral Thesis is about. It is process oriented and planning based. The holistic approach creates a synergy which results in a greater volume of output than a system without such integrated thinking. "Q-Docs" and it's server is the classic example of this type of thought. The first five "Principles of Q", the ones about realtionships with people and with God, again is the same type of holistic thinking. Through cooperation, tollerance and acceptance, more can be accomplished. Another age old truth and one we discovered a long time ago in the "Pre-Q" era, It is difficult to fully put the concept of "Q-Integration" into words. We hope those last examples and the stories that follow in this Chapter, will allow you to gain some insight into this phenomon. We therefore at this point will simply share our lore and interject some lessons along the way. Enjoy your journey into the "Quality-World", the "World of Q-Scouting". |
